Allergen App - Personal User Manual
Who this guide is for
Use this guide if you are an individual or family user who wants to store and communicate allergen information.
Quick start
- Open the app.
- Set your preferred language.
- Create your first card from Home.
Create an allergen card
- Go to Home.
- Select Add new card.
- Enter a card name (example: "Alex").
- Select all relevant allergens.
- Save the card.
Tip: create separate cards for each family member.
View and share card information
- Open a card from Home.
- Review:
- the large allergen icons/text,
- the decoded allergen text list,
- the code section (hex or bitmask),
- the QR section (public URL or specialist code).
- Use the format best suited to the recipient/system.
Scan a code from someone else
- Open Open QR Scan from the footer.
- Scan a valid allergen QR.
- Review decoded allergens.
- Optional: select Create New Card to save this as a new profile.
Use menu filtering (personal mode)
- Open Menu.
- In personal mode, select your Allergen Profile card.
- Load a source menu URL (if available).
- Review dishes and avoid conflict items automatically flagged/disabled.
Share order details
From the order panel in Menu, you can share with:
- Share (device native share sheet),
- Email,
- Print,
- Copy Text,
- API (demo endpoint).
Manage language
- Open Settings.
- Choose your preferred language.
- (Owner business feature only) language pack import/removal is restricted in business RBAC mode.
Best-practice checklist
- Keep each card title clear and specific.
- Re-check allergen selections before sharing.
- Confirm service details (carryout/delivery/table) before sending orders.
- Treat app output as communication support, not medical or legal certification.
